Corporate and Intellectual Property Paralegal The candidate will split time between assisting IP counsel with docketing, office actions and maintaining the patent database and assisting corporate counsel with editing and managing NDAs, entity formation and maintenance and other responsibilities relating to insurance requirements and the construction of new fab. Will be responsible for leading the implementation of new contract management system and for the ongoing maintenance of the system once it is implemented. Work extensively with IP counsel to coordinate patent portfolio management issues, such as docketing, calendaring, and coordinating of external counsel; generate various formal IP documentation and coordinate the execution of the same by company personnel; oversee incoming IP correspondence, prepare and maintain docket for same, and to maintain the information in an internal repository. Assist in the formation and maintenance of affiliated entities. Assist in reviewing NDAs and managing NDA database. Assist on corporate transactions, including debt and equity financings by managing approval process and closing documentation. Implement and manage contract management system.
The candidate should have a four-year degree from top undergraduate school. California notary public is a plus. Must have 5-7 years of corporate and/or patent paralegal work. Familiarity with both trademark and patent issues a plus. Should have prior experience in in-house IP management. Willingness to work on a broad variety of legal matters is required.
